Two-Row Fruit Tray Mold

Two-Row Fruit Tray Mold

A shallow tray for packing fruit in two layers — better presentation, less damage

Injection mold for two-row (two-layer) plastic fruit trays for delicate fruit such as peaches, apricots, persimmons and figs; the fruit presses less on each other and stays neatly arranged.

About this mold

Not every fruit can go into a deep crate. Peaches, apricots, persimmons, figs and strawberries get crushed in the lower layers when they are piled several layers high. A tray is a shallow crate in which the fruit is packed in one or two rows — less damage, and the fruit looks better on the market.

Ahmadi Molding has built and tested a two-row tray mold; the video of it being made and tested is further down the page. The tray height, base dimensions and vent pattern are set for the type of fruit and your market.

For fruit where every piece needs its own place, see the kiwi egg-tray crate mold; for transparent packaging, the clear container mold is a good option.

Key features

Less pressure on the fruit

Fruit is packed in only two rows, so the weight of upper layers does not fall on the fruit below.

Presentation on the market

A shallow tray shows the whole fruit — ideal for shops and greengrocers.

Stacking trays

The rim and base are designed so full trays sit on top of each other without pressing on the fruit.

Light and economical

A tray uses less material than a deep crate, which lowers the cost of packaging.
