About this mold
Transparent (crystal) parts are made for packaging where the customer must see the product inside — from fruit and nut containers to clear boxes and lids. In these parts even the smallest line or mark on the mold surface shows on the part, so polishing the mold surface and designing the gate and cooling correctly matter more than anything else.
Ahmadi Molding has built a fully automatic crystal mold and tested it on a machine; the video is further down the page. The shape, dimensions and number of cavities are designed for your part.

How is a crystal mold different from a normal mold?
On a transparent part every surface defect is visible, so the mold surface needs more polishing and the gate and cooling are designed more precisely.
