About this mold
The 8 kg crate sits between small crates and large cold-storage crates, and for many growers and wholesalers it is the main size: not so big that the bottom fruit gets crushed, and not so small that packaging costs rise. Peaches, nectarines, plums, grapes, cucumbers and eggplants are among the products packed in this size.
Ahmadi Molding builds the 8 kg crate mold from design through machining to the final test; a video of this mold being made in our workshop is further down the page. The ejection system (ring stripper, bottom or latch ejection) and the level of automation are chosen for your machine and production plan.
