About this mold
Kiwi is a delicate fruit: if it moves around in the crate or the fruits press against each other, it quickly bruises and loses its export value. The egg-tray kiwi crate solves this with a simple idea — the crate floor is shaped like an egg tray, so every kiwi sits in its own cell.
Ahmadi Molding builds the injection mold for this crate from design to final test. The crate dimensions, the number and diameter of the cells, the wall height and the part weight are set from your sample or drawing, and the mold is test-run on an injection machine before shipping so you receive a sound, uniform part.

Key features
One cell for every kiwi
The crate floor is designed with cells so the fruits stay apart, do not roll and do not press against each other.
Ventilation in cold storage
If needed, vent slots and holes are added to the floor and walls so air flows between the fruits.
Stable stacking
The rim and corners are designed so full crates sit firmly on top of each other and the weight is not passed on to the fruit.
Built for mass production
A fully automatic ejection system and durable steel ensure a short cycle and a long mold life.
