About this mold
The 4 kg crate is the smallest high-volume crate on the fruit market — used for fruit that should not be stacked deep, such as cherries, sour cherries, strawberries, grapes, apricots and figs. Because production volumes for this crate are usually high, its mold needs to be fast, trouble-free and fully automatic.
In our 4 kg mold the crate is released from the core by a ring stripper: a ring that grips the whole rim pushes the crate off evenly, so it releases without warping and without ejector-pin marks on the floor. The result is a light crate with thin walls and a short cycle. The test video of this mold on an injection machine is further down this page.
