About this mold
The 6 kg crate is one of the best-selling sizes for fruit and vegetables — used both for fruit such as apricots, peaches and grapes and for tomatoes and cucumbers. Producers of this size usually run high volumes, so mold life and stability in round-the-clock operation matter a lot.
That is why we build this mold in wear-resistant steel, which resists the abrasion caused by filled or recycled material better and keeps its edges and contact surfaces longer. The crate is released by bottom ejection: the ejector plate pushes on the crate floor and sends the crate out straight and evenly.

1.2312 is the standard, easy-to-machine steel for plastic molds. Wear-resistant steel is for very high volumes or more abrasive material (such as recycled or filled grades); it extends mold life.
Which crates is bottom ejection suitable for?
For crates with a solid, flat floor, bottom ejection is a simple, reliable and economical method. For very thin and deep crates a ring stripper is also a good option; we recommend the best method during consultation.
