About this mold
The 14 kg crate is one of the most in-demand crates on the market — for apples, oranges, tomatoes, onions, potatoes and any product moved in large volumes. At this size the mold is bigger and heavier, and the design of the ejection and cooling systems directly affects production speed and crate quality.
This mold works automatically with a latch ejection system: at the end of each cycle the crate is released from the mold without the operator, and the machine starts the next cycle. The test video of a 14 kg crate mold made in our workshop is further down this page.
To produce this size you need an injection machine with enough clamping force and shot volume; tell us your machine specifications and we will check them. The tomato and vegetable crate mold is designed for the same market.

What is latch ejection?
In workshop terms it is a mechanism that releases the crate at the end of the cycle with mechanical parts (latches), so the mold runs without the operator. The choice between latch, ring stripper and bottom ejection depends on the crate design.
